Spring and Fall ReSales

We hold two sales annually in spring and fall. These are our primary fundraisers and help us pay for outings, speakers and events, as well as our philanthropic efforts.
Parents can sell outgrown or no-longer loved items and get great bargains on equipment, clothing, toys and more; everything for kids and babies! Any items that do not sell are donated to a local charity in need. It's a great way to clean up your home and help out your community!
Paid WSMOM members are invited to"pre-sales" to view and buy items before the sales are open to the public!

West Suburban Mothers of Multiples receives 30% of the sale proceeds, and in return we arrange for advertising, location and setup. At our Spring 2009 Sale, over 200 buyers were waiting for the doors to open! Our Fall 2008 Sale grossed over $9,000. in receipts!

Whether you're selling or stocking up, consider joining us!
Next Sale - Saturday April 17
Our sales are held at the Oak Park Arms, Oak Park & Madison Street, Oak Park
Details will come soon!
Bring a laundry basket to carry all your loot, but please, no strollers!

Sale Information

These are our sale guidelines to help the sale run smoothly for sellers and buyers. If you have any questions or would like to join as a seller or as a volunteer, contact Rebeccah Johnson, Sale Coordinator, at rebeccamikejohnson@yahoo.com. A Resale Seller Instructions file at the Yahoo Forum will give you all the details, but here are some of the highlights:

  • The official Resale Tag form is available now at the Yahoo Forum.
  • Because its always been our practice, and because there's a new Consumer Product Safety Law in effect, Sellers are asked to make sure their items are clean, in good working condition and are not subject to any Recalls from the Consumer Product Safety Commission, prior to bringing them to the sale.
  • Sellers MUST use tagging guns (no more safety pins!) which are available from us for only $7.00. They're fun to use and come in handy for lots of things!
  • Donations of hangers and plastic bags are needed and welcome!
  • Donated items (free to the public) still need a tag with the word "Free" in the price section.
  • Sellers must get their items onto the proper sales floor areas between 4:30 and 7:30 on the night before the sale. Please remember that if you are volunteering that night, as well, you will need enough time to place your items AND help out with setup.
  • Sellers will work a 3 hour shift at the sale or the setup. Hours available:
    • Friday 7:30 to 10:30 pm - Setting up the sales floor
    • Saturday 7:30 to 10:30 am - Assisting with checkout/customer service
    • Saturday 10:00 to 1:00 pm - Assisting with checkout/customer service/cleanup
    • Saturday 12:30 to 3:30 pm - Calculating receipts/seller tickets
    • One person (first come, first served) may volunteer for Media Duty to satisfy their 3 hour shift. That person will put up flyers locally, contact the newspapers to try to get articles written, post on craigslist, etc. Details will be provided.
  • Dresses, coats, snowsuits and outfits with 2 pieces or more must be on a hanger. Items that are on the racks seem to move faster than on the tables, so if you have something very dressy - hang it up! Coats and 2 piece items, too!

Miscellaneous for Sale

We also offer an informal way for members to sell their items throughout the rest of the year. Members can simply broadcast an email to our Yahoo Group of hundreds of members members describing the item they have for sale. Interested parties just contact the seller to make inquiries and coordinate a purchase.
